Blackfire users a little help

I am thinking about making the switch from Adams and my PC to Blackfire and a flex. How user friendly are their products? How did you like the results? Have you used Adams before and how does it compare?

Just as user friendly. Results are stunning. I've used every Adams product they make, both are top tier, I prefer Blackfire

No reason you couldn't use the Adam's pads if you already have them. There are also Lake Country, the Uber line from Detailer's Domain...

I'm glad you asked this question. I'm switching over from Adam's to Blackfire since in my opinion Adam's was ok. I'm glad its as easy as Adam's to use since I did like that about Adam's.

You guys are talking about the SRC polishes here specifically, right?

I'm not sure what SRC polishes are. That's what is confusing to me about other products. Adams are so easy, color coordinated pads etc... There is a place here that sells maybe when I'm ready to buy ill go see what they say, or some of the pros well chime in.

Easiest thing here guys. If you go with LC pads, the compound goes with the orange flat pad, the polish goes with the white flat pad. If you go with the uber or buff and shine pads, the polish goes with the green and the compound goes with the yellow. The Blackfire sealant will work with any red or black pad from these two companies.

SRC is just what they call their polishes. Scratch resistant clear. There are two, the compound (think SHR) and the finishing polish (think FMP).

Our machine abrasive polishes (SRC Compound and SRC Finishing Polish) where originally designed for application at the OEM level in Germany, hence the SRC. (Scratch-Resistant-Clear).

In the mid 2000s, manufacturers (particularly in Europe) started introducing clear coat paints that were far less scratch sensitive than the clear coat finishes before them. These paints had a higher concentration of hard particles in the finish (hence the same "high-solid"). BLACKFIRE Polishes were originally developed with a close relationship with Menzerna GmbH (Menzerna of Germany). This was long before Menzerna became a household name in America as THE PREMIUM polish company.

While BLACKFIRE polishes have evolved over the years and the formulas have been upgraded for better performance, the close working relationship with Menzerna has continued.

These polishes will work with any pads you have. However if you are switching to a FLEX polisher, you want to make sure that your pads will work with the blacking plate on the FLEX. The stock backing plate measures 5.5 inches in diameter. As long as your pads have a 5.5 inch to 6 inch backing material they will work fine.

I personally love the new Lake Country Hybrid Power Finish pads on the FLEX; the dense foam does an excellent job of transferring the considerable orbital motion of the FLEX to the paint resulting in an excellent transfer of power.

Thanks Todd, but will have to hold off on the flex for awhile. Just ordered a clean water filter kit from you. Can't stand this Hawaii water.
