Camaro is the better car for the money

A couple months ago i traded my 2010 2SS in for a new mustang GT premium. price was nearly identical on both cars. i've had the mustang long enough to become familiar with all the features and to get used to the car and my honest opinion is. the camaro is a better value for the money. there are more standard features on the 2SS that are extras on the mustang. the quality of the carpet and floor mats on the camaro are much better than the mustang. On Star is a nice feature. the steering wheel controls are nicer. the camaro has a digital speedo display and the 11's have HUD. the Boston sound system in the camaro puts the shaker 500 to shame. and oddly enough even though the mustang i have is far faster than the camaro i had at the track, the camaro feels faster. i feel the mustang has better quality paint. it's pretty easy to see why the Camaro would outsell the mustang if the buyers are doing thorough comparisons. I'm not saying i dont like my Mustang, just relaying my impressions after owning both cars

Are you planning on trading in your Mustang for another Camaro? What's the best quality you found in the Mustang that the Camaro doesn't have but wish it did? and vice versa?

I rode in a 2011 Mustang GT with a Vortech supercharger a few days ago. I was very impressed with the power. I also liked how the head rest was actually useful unlike my Camaro. I didn't listen to the stereo, but I don't see how it could be worse than the Boston. My Camaro has no bass. I expected it to sound better. I think both cars look good, but my opinion is the Camaro looks better. I actually contemplated getting a 5.0 Stang, but the design of the Camaro just wouldn't let me.

i traded the camaro for several reasons. while the camaro is a better value it in no way means i dont like my current car.

1. camaro paint was an issue for me, chips way to easily
2. 6 speed manual was noisy and crunched when shifting. GM said it's normal
3.I liked the styling of the Mustang

i will probably trade in on a ZL1 after i have had the Mustang a year. i'm really enjoying the modern muscle car wars and would like to own one of each modern muscle car before the government puts the brakes on things. so far i have had a new Grand prix GXP, a G8 GT a Camaro SS and now a mustang GT

I feel like you wasted so much money in that process. But your money your choices.

Cool. I was considering the G8 GXP but bought the 2SS/RS LS3 instead. I have done the trade thing several times also. In 2006 I tradded in 3 new cars. If I had the cash I would love to park a new 5.0 next to my Camaro, but thats not happening today. I saw a brand new 5.0 Mustang GT Premium loaded black convertable in Libertyville for $39,800. That was a great deal.

idk man, i think in terms on performance the mustang is better value. i like how you can have better gears, and there live rear axles from factory . things like that make the car better. also my friend put long tube headers, CAI, exhaust, dyno tune. and got higher numbers then most LS3s are putting down. with same mods. but the 5.0L has less power stock.

I like the 5.0's

I'd have no problem owning one if the camaros weren't so damn beautiful!

5.0's are nice i test drove one and took it home for a night about 2 weeks ago. i couldn't see myself trading in my ss though since i would lose money and im not a huge fan looks wise. power is nice not as torquey as the ls3 but the coyote pulls hard up top even with 87 octane in it...

I'm with heaterman. I did alot of comparison shopping before I got my camaro. I have owned a 5.0 in 1986. That was a beast of a car. Backthen the camaro could not come close to the mustang. But now the stock performance numbers are so close and the 2SS does have so many standard options that I had to get a camaro. Plus the style and look of the camaro is head and shoulders above a mustang. Just my opinion.
