Mine was built in August... Snow has touched my tires twice. I had to back it out of the garage in the winter twice...

Being in Maine I see plenty of newer cars get ruined within a few years from all the salt, sand, and bad road conditions. You can clean your car all day long but as soon as you take it back on the road the salt is right back on. Like I said before road conditions are another thing. Pot holes are killer on cars. Believe me with the winter we have had the roads are torn to pieces.

Sorry to hear about the snow on the tires...I feel your pain. I'm sure you'll do everything possible to prevent it from happening again.

Recently, I was similarly shocked and devastated. I had removed my tires to do my yearly cleaning and painting of my brake rotors and was stunned to discover hundreds of water spots on my inner wheel wells. OMG!!! How could this have happened? My car has never been wet. Hmm! I need to have a conversation with Mrs Alfie.

Needless to say, I hurriedly fixed the dire situation and refurbished the wheel tubs back to normal.

If your car is built during the summer monthes or atleast not in winter your good in terms of it never seeing snow, rain is a whole other situation.
These cars will have seen severe thunderstorms and rain.
Even if you lucked out with all sunny weather during the whole build to delivery, every camaro has
gone through a simulated downpour at the end of the assembly line lol
Just because your car has seen rain, snow or sand before, doesnt mean it should continue to see it.
Mine is a DD apart from winter and shes a fine one at that.
How members choose to drive their cars is their choice, as long as they take care of their Camaros

I had a chance to see mine right after it got off the train and a car carrier hauled it up to the dealership here in Phoenix. I'll never forget the horror of all that sand and dirt caked on my new car....came right off after 40 minutes in the detail shop....

built in May 09...so a non issue for me, but as said above by a couple guys, it's the driving of the cars that throws the moisture into every nook & cranny that causes the problems.
There's NO way you can get it all out.

Mine was built in May of 2010, purchased in June and has been on the road nearly every day since. Rain, salt, pulverized granite, saline solution, snow, ice, she's seen it all...and likes it.

I've said this before........I bought this for me to use, not save for someone else......When I sell it or trade it in, it will be all used up. Bought mine in November 2010 (2011 2SS/RS) and have been driving it ever since. It has 9000 miles on it now (I drive a lot) and it should have close to 200K on it when it is time to turn it. My 2006 Trailblazer SS had 150K on it when I traded it in on the Camaro. The Dealer gave me 10K for it on trade. I have a 1997 F150 that has 275K on it, but it still looks and runs great. I'm not lookin to sell someone else a great used car with low miles and hardly ever used......

Haw, If you are going on the Power Tour, I can almost guarantee you will be in rain!
1st HRPT I did it rained for 2-1/2 days. Every HRPT since we have gotten rain.

Of course, saying that and I am not going this year, it won't rain.

Drove my 68 all those years!

I wouldnt be so scared of driving in the rain or car sitting outside in the snow.....its the road salt that concerns me. I will not drive my car in the winter due to the salt used in my area.
