LS9 Supercharger kit >>pictures and details<<
When I heard the news about the new supercharger kit from GMPP I immediately got in touch with my dealership, John Thornton Chevrolet in Lithia Springs, Georgia. They luckily were able to order one the day I told them about it, I say luckily because apparently these are only being run as a limited production, this is possibly only 1 of 7. The pictures attached show everything that is included in the kit, down to the last bolt, meaning that there is more that would be needed to add this LS9 Supercharger to the Camaro. From what I have been told and the information comes from a reliable source is the following information:
--It is sold as an off-road kit --There is no warranty availiable for this part --This kit was not intended as a bolt on kit. --Stock LS3 can not handle the boost. The fuel compression is different. --You would have to upgrade the fuel system, change out the internals to forged, change the compression to 10.5/1 to 9.1/1. --This kit was meant just for engine builders. This kit does not include: heat exchanger, intercooler pump, hoses, accessories to changed to wider pullies and other parts needed. As of now they were told there were only 7 released although the dealership believes there may be a kit in the future as of now there is nothing else available. If I here anything else I will post it as soon as I can. |

Awesome, but too bad it's not a "kit".

Not really a kit now is it? GM could make a but load of money selling a true kit and include the warranty, if they do the install. (Keeping the price realistic of course)

Very true, the demand is there. Let a licensed dealer do the install and offer a warranty. With the right price a lot of people would jump in a heartbeat!
