OK, so I started the Toyota thing . . . yes I agree it is Apples and Oranges, my Camry is about as borring (but also as reliable) as they come; the Camaro is the opposite end of the spectrum . . . and yes Toyota has had some problems, but very few in the scheme of things . . . I only bring it up as a relative point of reference; if Toyota can do it, then it is not impossible . . .

About the Toyota floor mat / gas pedal thing -- I own two of them, and if you are not too lazy, you use the provided hooks to secure the floor mats and it will never get hung up in the gas pedal; if you don't use the hooks that the company gave you to secure the floor mats, then they can slip forward and stick under the accelerator pedal. . . . . . I think most Camaro owners would agree that a reasonable level of self-reliance is in order.

Anyway, I'm still in love with the new C5 and probably will buy one . . . but if GM and other US manufacturers can't see the obvious and fix themselves, then the future for them is equally obvious.

If you think the floor matt is what's causing that problem you haven't been paying attention. Some people that had the problem didn't even have floor matts in the car. Face it toyota is going down the same road Gm already went down. They are not longer top on quality anymore. They got to greedy.
Ford would be a much better example of quality these days.

It sounds you got all, not just one or two of the minor problems some have noted here. Yes we should expect better but anytime a car completely new, it's a given you will see these things come up. I'd take the car in when you have to do oil changes and have those things taken care off, it it keeps resurfacing then do what you think you will be happy with.

For your information, I can read just fine thank you. In fact, I read ALL SIX pages just like you did...I personally find it very disturbing and odd to say the least , that her car is falling apart.. my comment only addressed the issue generally. If you need me to break it down for you and be more specific I can...it sounds to me like the car was possibly in an accident and put back together for profit. The ACTUAL mileage on her car is insignificant in light of the bigger picture here it's not hard to rig the odometer...WTF...no need to be such a damn jerk about it...

The problem with the dealer is that the OP has boobs.

If one of us at 6.2 and 235 went in with no boobs......... the dealer would have fixed all of that in one day.

Our Honda had the same issues with paint. Different angles made it look like patch work paint. Only black is the possible solution.

Odd? The majority of members on the forum have had at least one or more of the problems mentioned. Just so happens that a few of them are encountering all of them at once. If there weren't bulletins already on much of what she mentioned, then you can speculate all you like. I've spoken with her privately and just out of sheer effort of time speaking with me and the rest of us on C5 leads me to believe she is undoubtedly telling the truth. Why else would she waste our time; especially hers?

I see nothing on that list of complaints that are out of the ordinary, like the loose spoiler nuts, or the computer needing to be reprogrammed and reset on slow L99 A6's (not her situation, but I think it is either well known or there was a seperate bulletin on this; perhaps Bjorn or PQ can chime in here because they both had that problem). If I saw something about a muffler falling off, leaks in the headgasket or problems with the air conditioning compressor and/or coolant issues, I'd be a little skeptical. Please focus on being part of the solution instead of contributing to the problem with senseless bickering about details such as the odometer reading "0" when she took delivery. If you can't figure out that she was figuratively speaking and are wasting time on that detail, you probably have nothing significant to contribute.

I think all that needs to be said, has been said and unless the OP has more to add, it might be well and good to close this thread.

The only thing that is happening is that members are taking pot-shots at the OP, contesting her integrity; she is a new member and becoming angry and frustrated because she's afraid of moderator retaliation if she tries to defend herself.
