CCFBG 2!!

Since March 2009 ,From the time I first sat in a 5th Gen Camaro I have always wanted one since!

Today at 4pm CCFBG 2 is now the real deal!

For the record, this is NOT a pic of my car but exactly like it.

I believe its a low production # 2010 2LT RS with 40k black on black leather!
The guys at New Roads Chevrolet took good care of me and found me something within my budget.

I know I will hear about it but yes it will be my new DD.

Just my luck the day I pickup the car, it snows....... :bs
Anyhow, I got stuck in the snow storm tonight with the summer tires on it and I am off to 2010 tire( club sponsor) for some snows tomorrow.
All that a side, its nice to have it in the driveway for good !

What size does everyone recommend 17 or 18 steelies?

Man its good to have a 5th gen !!

Thanks Mark

I would suggest LS 18" Heritage steel wheels & TPMS sensors.
See if New Roads Chev can get them for you.

on the cheap: Firestone Winterforce winter tires in 225/60/18"
or
Bridgestone Blizzak LM-60 winter performance tires in 225/60/18"

Ideally, I would suggest tire size in 245/55/18" but there aren't too many choices other then the Pirelli Scorpion Ice & Snow winter tires.

I have the Bridgestone Blizzak LM-60 winter performance tires in 245/45/18" H-speed rated on my G8.
Note: I said LM-series Blizzaks, not the WS-series.

Note: Also a winter performance (like the Blizzak LM-60) will last longer on dry pavement than a non performance (like the WS60) winter tire.

And congrats!!!!

As for winter tires, the season is pretty much over. However. If you are getting winters, Michelin has some great snow tires. We have different versions on all our cars and they make a huge difference.
Congrats again and if you see an IOM RS flashing high beams at you it's me!

Congrats.

I run the Firestone Winterforce tires on 18" alloys (cheapest I could get, on sale at Tirerack for about $110 each) for my winter tires. You can still get loose if you gun it hard enough but the car was completely stable in yesterdays storm. (Unlike the poor import driver doing 360's on the 410SB to 401EB offramp.)

BTW TPMS sensors ARE OPTIONAL. You still get the yellow warning indicator on the dash but other than that nothing else. If money is tight could save $50-80 per wheel.

I'll be driving her to the Go Kart place so you can see them in person there.
