I liked the part where he gets the two seats in and he goes LOOK AT THAT 2 SEATS! THATS ALREADY MORE THAN THE GREEN PARTY!! I had a good laugh

The time travel part was funny too, other than I don't know why Rick Mercer would wanna undo the Majority Conservative gov't but that's another debate

GREAT FIND!!! I like that guy. I didn't understand some of his comments (mostly because I'm slow) but I still enjoyed the behind-the-scenes shots

Nice find.

I went to the University that plays host to the GM Automotive Centre of Excellence (University of Ontario, Institute of Technology). It wasn't there when I was though. It was neat seeing it in action

I'm sure that Letterman would never do the same sort of stupid jokes that Mercer did or be as clumsy when trying to build the car ...

and for those who don't know who he is, Rick Mercer has been on the air for about 20 years in Canada doing political satire -except when he does his 'on location' segment, like this trip to Oshawa. Even then, I counted at least 4 political jokes that he tossed in during the 6 minute clip

Yes I do believe so. And I don't think it looks like the Monte that was discontinued a few years ago (which was also built in that plant)

it shows up at about 3:54, upper left corner. You can see roughly half the banner. The line along the top says '????????? Lane Near You'

Is this the new car they're going to be running in Nascar for 2013? Looked like a Nascar style name on the nose, and they said it would be a nameplate they aren't currently using ... very interesting

Don't feel bad, you'd have to be up on Canadian politics to understand them.

Rick Mercer acts that way when he is in character, sometimes it makes him look stupid but he's very intelligent. It's kind of like a slapstick kinda comedy, very physical. It's Canadian comedy, granted, but certainly funny at times, eh? eB
