PM responded to.

If you are doing a standard ABL install, you don't need to choose the pipes. We did that for you.

So I've been reading some of the threads about the ABL dash install but haven't read every single post because the threads are so long. I keep reading about people need to sand 2 - 3 mm of paint and to trim clips and so forth. What I don't know is if that's is due to the product they are using or if it has to be done no matter the product.

Do your ABL lights require work like this to make them look factory?

You just need the painted panels.

On the dash, it may work. I can't see how the doors would.

What do you mean when you say a full door panel kit requires a custom door panel?

The factory, painted panels don't have paint at the top so that the light can come through. For doing the full panel, you need to remove the paint around the rest of that edge on the panel so that the new light can show through.

So are these pipes small enough to install behind the dash panels with out any modification? I've never did this because of all the extra stuff needed to make them fit properly...

The easiest way is to do it via the gap method. In this version, there is a small gap created between the panel and the dash for the light to come through. The other way is to grind down parts of of the clips and remove some of the paint to create a clear strip, like on the door panels.

What is the best method to remove paint on top of dash panels and how far down do you remove paint?
