Chevy Dealership...

Here is a good article, for all you clamoring to pay THOUSANDS below dealer cost, beware, ha.

In this case, now the guy has a lawsuit, trying for $2.2 Million, but will settle and keep his rig. He can afford a ZL1 and a Vette soon, ha.

I like the part "the customer verbally agreed".........about as good as the paper it is written on.

I would have done the wrong thing. My first thought was wait a week, return the car and ask for my money back in exchange for their new car. (refuse to sign a new contract)

However, it looks like sawyer will end up with a little more than a full refund.

I applaud the people for taking a stand in this. Getting arrested would be a terrible experience, especially if you had done nothing wrong. People only remember the arrest, they don't see the person is innocent or the arrest was expunged. I hope this family gets everything they ask for. I can't imagine what they went through or how it made the man feel when he got arrested.

Saying I'm sorry just isn't enough in this case.

The dealership's going to get what they deserve. They signed a contract, then later tried to back out of it by "persuading' the customer to come back and voluntarily sign a new contract. When that didn't work, the manager got angry and overstepped by claiming the car stolen. The car wasn't stolen - it was legally sold. Whether the dealership made or lost money is irrelevant. In fact I'll be surprised if that manager isn't charged and jailed for making a false police report.

Dope dealers have more integrity than most car dealers.
