CAR WILL NOT MOVE!!!

Every time I wash it and pull it in my garage overnight I get ready to drive it the next day and it won't move

I put it in drive and today it wouldn't move. It just sits there, so I pressed the gas and it started bulking and gliding forward and then made this loud pop like a firearm. Once that happens the car drives great

What is the problem? thank you

CAR WILL NOT MOVE!!!

Normal after a wash. These rotors really rust up and when they do they grab. Scared the crap out if my the 1st couple of times it happened.

To avoid this drive it for a few minutes when you are done washing.

once you get done washing it drive it around for a mile or so before you park it in the garage if you can that will help remove the surface rust that gets on the rotors after washing.

Do you set ebrake if so had old s-10 stick did same thing brake pads in the rotor hat rust to the rotor/hat drum and takes bit torque to bust them free I had to use big screwdriver and hammer in the winter sometimes to smack the rear hats to brake them free if was snowy or one side would break free and other wouldn't because would slide on snow locked wheel just sliding down road till I caught some pavement then blame freed up.

He has an extremely different definition of normal than we do...

Very serious. All that is happing is the brakes are rusting up and grabbing. The OP is making it sound a lot worse then it is, but it happens every time I wash the car and put it right into the garage without driving.

Believe me it sounds a lot worse then it actually is. The pop is nothing more then the pad freeing itself from the rusted rotor.

If he was up in the frozen tundra I can see how he would get stuck to the garage floor.

Look at the rotors after you wash it...they'll be all rusted....drive the car 5 minutes and apply the brakes to warm them up and they'll be shiny and not freeze...the sound your hearing is the rust actually breaking between the rotors and the pads.

Or use your leaf blower to knock the water out of the brakes/wheels after you wash it. It's the best way to dry your entire car also. Sticking brakes is definitely your problem (probably... maybe).
