Arrow Quality Inexpensive Tires with Rim Protector

As the title states, what are some good quality inexpensive tires with the rim protector feature?
I wasn't planning on getting tires right now, but I need a set of 275/40R20.

They're great tires, but they cost as much as the Goodyear Eagle Sport All-Season, which are my preference but the timing isn't right.

Mr Stacey, you're not in my will, so don't try to kill me.
I'd be worried that the Chinese tread on the Telstar tires might peel off the first time the car reaches 100mph.
The Hankook tires aren't rated for even light snow - we're in the PNW.

Pirelli (P-zero) are Chinese you know? Owned by the same company that is trying to buy my company with 28,000 employees.

It's why I usually get the Goodyear Eagle Sport A/S. I realize that for the the price I want to pay right now, they'll probably be Chinese tires, but for safety reasons I'd want them to be a reputable brand.

Sorry but in my experience there is no such thing. If you want good quality they won't be cheap, if you want inexpensive they won't be good quality.

If you insist, then you're best bet is used tires. Hit up the for sale section. Members sometimes post up their old tires when they upgrade or go up in sizes.

What is the rim protector feature? As for tires, I like my GMax-03 all seasons. They were relatively inexpensive and work well.

The BFG's will run circles around most in the rain, That is where they really shine. If you could get a 285/30/20 they are $40 dollars less per tire. Check some sizes that work.

I think the Hankooks are ASS tires. (All Season Snow).

Seriously, they are AS are they not? I have Ventus and I must say the traction is EXTREMELY good in wet weather. I wouldn't even attempt to drive this car in the snow however... not without cable chains at the least...

I can vouch for Sumitomo, at least the sterring pair I have on my 9 ton motor-home. These appear to have decent rim protection, but not 100% on that...

The information I've been reading claims the opposite. A few reviews of popular costlier tires stated they didn't perform as well as their less expensive counterparts.

Here's a good explanation of rim protector tires:

I'll look into the GMax-03. Thanks.

I based it on a couple of online reviews, including the one in your link. Scroll down & you'll see it.
Edit: Now that I see it again, it simply means there's no data, so it was only the other review.

Look at the General G-max series tires, I have them on my Challenger and absolutely have no complaints about them.
