I have a buddy that has a challenger and we rib eachother about our cars... made the mistake of sending him a video from youtube as some good old fashion Gearhead banter... Wow...really got his panties in a bunch...

He said the Challengers Folks are all enraged about these videos and the tests are all skewed... And just GM Adds...

Its not an Apples to Apples on most of these comparisons except the last one puts the SS vs. the SRT8

Just goes to show how much potential the 5th Gen has. I can't afford and HPE up front but over a period of time I'm sure I can get a Camaro close to it.

Imagine HPE power combined with Pedders suspension.

You ever read the comments to these videos ? OMG there are allot of stupid envious losers out there. My favorite is when they compare super-cars they don't own and never will to the camaro. Or better yet when they talk about stripped out bare to the bone cars with 50 thousand dollars invested into them over time(that break down every other minute) and how much faster those car are. They just can't handle the truth more now than ever it's the best bang for the buck and some can't afford it so they choose to be hatters.

It might help if the guy could drive the challenger all I heard was the tires squealling in the last video 13.6 @ 104 please my R/T does 13.19 @ 105.4 and I know I don't have 425 H.P

I have a R/T and don't get twisted over these videos,we all have great cars,be it a challenger,camaro or a mustang,I know I am not as fast an an SS or GT500 but I can see how great all 3 are in the own way,everybody needs to take a chill once in a while.

I have an RT and it will hold it's own against a stock SS (or SRT for that matter). Yes it is modded and not all mods are public (no forced induction) and no, it's not stripped down, nor have I invested thousands of dollars into it.

Real muscle car lovers enjoy friendly rivalry, but when you intentionally put other muscle cars down... In closing, I just bought a 2010 Mustang GT Premium for my wife because she liked it, more so than the Challenger or the Camaro and she could have had either. I can also honestly state she knows more about new muscle cars than most salesmen (she embarrassed one). She too is a muscle car lover, goes to Barrett/Jackson every year and has bought 95% of the dozens of muscle rags in our house. Here's a pic of the 'stang- enjoy!
