You have a blowoff valve not a wastegate. Wastegate a can be used to regulate boost etc but they come with turbo kits.

You can hear my bov. Running a tial q with a -6 spring

Thanks Detoxx, I was reading a bunch of post and I confused myself, everybody says something diff ha. So my BOV stays closed until I hit my given Boost number and then it opens? At idel its closed? When I left off throttle it opens?

Your blow off value opens when you let off the throttle so you don't damage the blower impeller. All that boost needs to go somewhere and when the throttle blade closes it forces it back into the blower....The BOV opens to prevent this. As mentioned above the wastegate is commonly used on turbo set ups to limit the amount of boost a turbo will make. Since a blower uses pulleys you generally don't need a wastegate but it has been done before. The idea is you can use a small pulley to up your boost and make more torque down low but the safety of a wastegate to limit excess boost numbers up top.

Sweet thanks for quick useable info! So I need a BOV, just have to find out which size spring to get and bolt it on correct? And if I'm reading correctly, I have a Boost/vac gauge so I take what my car is at idel to get the spring correct? Vaccuum at idel. Tial q website says -2 for superchargers, -6, -8, -10, and so on do I get whats its reading on my gauge or do I get one lower?

You should already have one. It comes with the kit. If you are getting a new one just see how much vacuum at idle your car pulls and get the correct spring based on that.

I have an open race big red pro-charger valve. It makes one big air release noise
when you let off the gas
