The Turn by Turn does require it so I have never used it on mine even when I had the Onstar trial... They should have just made the Nav standard as part of the car not a service to be charged monthly for. I have a separate GPS or my phone I use.

As for the gauges they are nice but I have to tilt my head down to see them because of the bulky heater knobs. Really could have done that better IMHO. I usually forget I have them as I can't hardly see them

I do love the HUD though as with the way I sit and tilt my steering wheel the speedo is largely blocked where it counts too so the HUD keeps me from speeding too much... sometimes

Oh, the heated seats are great in the winter (I drive mine year round) and I love the HUD.

You make a good point but I will likely have two cars. I would like to have something else to eventually drive for winter. I've had two cars since 2007 when i bought my Mustang.

You can get Recaros in 1SS, correct? And they will be leather/Alcantara?

First, I have a Google Music subscription, which is similar to Spotify. I want to know if the BT option will stream music with decent quality, and show album + titles. My current Pioneer head unit does this and I forgot to test that functionality at dealer, during my test drive.

BT works great with Google Music, though it doesn't always display the correct album art, minor complaint!

Next, are the NAV options only available thru OnStar subscription?

You can use NAV on the MyLink head unit without Onstar. Onstar gets you directions in the HUD/DIC. The only thing I miss about having the Onstar nav option is the ability to send directions/locations from the Onstar app directly to the Mylink head unit. This was great since I could look up address' on the app much easier then on the head unit! Though I do tend to use google nav on the phone I have no complaints when I have used the Mylink NAV (mostly on longer trips)

I thought it would be awesome to have a HUD, especially when it can display navigation. However in my experience, car navigation is worlds behinds Google Maps or Waze. Any comments on this? Things change quickly, so perhaps the navigation is very useful. It is certainly annoying to take long trips ( > 2 hours ) using phone navi.

I never use the HUD for NAV (need Onstar) but use it all the time for the other options. Love the g-meter and shift light page! I'd say the HUD is a must

I haven't heard the Boston Acoustics premium audio but I am not pleased at all with the standard audio system on my 1SS.

I am extremely impressed with the Boston Acoustics sound. I know some add booming bass boxes, but I'm not into the window rattling - the Boston Acoustics has a very clean and strong sound (I have my own audio studio so am very precise on sound quality). I am a Bose lover and my Vette's and Miata have Bose systems... but the Boston Acoustics blows them away, to be honest.

I have to say I do not think the BA system in our Camaro is as good as the the Monsoon system (I think it was Bose based) in the WS6 was, and feel it falls far short of the Bose system in the Wife's Avalanche.

Bose makes incredible product. Try their noise cancelling headphones, or their L1 PA system, which I use with their B2 bass and ToneMatch system in my studio for recording. Absolutely incredible audio. A lot of performing bands have gone with the L1 system over other choices; allbeit expensive stuff of course.

In the car, the Boston Acoustics has them beat, JMOH.
