Hey guys, I know this is only a predication... but does anyone believe the Recaro Seat option that the 2014's will have will be able to be ordered and installed for a 2013 1LE through GM?

I have a link to a brand new 2013 1LE and as much as I wanted to wait to see what the options for 2014 brought to the table... this car is on my mind and I could be driving it NOW.

They're not even ready for the 2014s. I really doubt you would be able to get them on a 2013. GM doesn't typically offer an option for a model year a couple months before it's end.

No deal on the 2013, GM will not do that. Scott made a comment in a thread that the engineers said the seat air bags in the Recaro's were compatible with prior years. You definitely get the shaft paying full price for the seats though through the parts department. 1 seat will probably cost more than the entire Recaro option on the 14's.

I think he is talking about installing the recaro's in his 2013 late on. Getting the part from GM and replacing the seats. I think it will be possible, but we won't know until we see some seats.

Ya, I meant order the seats later on to have them installed in a '13 after the fact.

If I didn't own and I was going to buy soon I would wait and get those seats! Wait till you see if they will be available.

According to other topics posted here, they will be available (ie: optional) for the SS (which will include the 1LE) and the ZL1.

The only problem with waiting to see what they look like is I will lose the chance to buy this '13 1LE. As far as my search goes, there is only 1 in Ontario and it's 45 minutes from me. I'm not a big fan of the bumper changes that the 14's have... The Recaro's in a '13 would be perfect.
