I tried to like the Camaro 5th gen, I really did.

The word "Mustang" was a distant runner-up to my decision to purchase a Camaro 2SS. Heads up display. LS3 motor. Beautiful lines. I joined this forum to learn more about the car while I got around to purchasing one.

The visibility complaints are overblown, I said. People on the internet complain about everything. Right? I'll just sit in one and see how much they were exaggerating.

So I walk up to one at the dealership. It looks gorgeous. I sit inside, look forward and...damn it! I have to strain my head to see out the window normally. No problem, I just lowered the seat. Wow, now the door sills are really high and the sideview mirrors are hard to see. I just couldn't find a natural driving position.

It's not to be my daily driver, just a fun car. But man that thing was difficult to see out of.

Some folks feel it and get it... some don't. That's why they make Mustangs.

I understand. This is my first Camaro and will likely be my last. I really just wanted to give it a try because of everything I heard throughout the years about the fabled LS series. I drank the Kool Aid and now I'm making the best of it. Enjoy the ride while you have it. It'll be an experience nonetheless.

Nothing wrong with not liking the car. Some like it, some don't. Nothing wrong there.

Now that's darn funny right there!
Yes there's better all around visibility in other vehicles but to achieve the unique and great lines it has, then it has to give up something. I personally had no issues. Takes some getting use to but so does a lot of thing on a awe car.

Maybe you're just too short for the car? You can't see over the steering wheel? With the exception of over the shoulder visibility, it's actually not bad at all for normal sized folks.

I read about the visibility problems as well, but when I got into to drive it for the first time the only thing I noticed was that the over the shoulder visibility is limited/non-existent. Outside of that it's just as easy to see out of as my 92 Corvette.

I actually like the enclosed feel of the car, sort or race car like. I got used to seeing out of the car pretty quick, but if you are unhappy you need to move on.
