Happened to me in Jersey. It was raining and at night. There were 4 lanes leading up to the light I "blew." Left 2 went left, right 2 went straight. I slowed as approached it to turn left, it turned yellow then red pretty quick, I was already in the intersection, and coasted on through safely. The "system" mailed me a ticket for 100 bucks. I didn't think to fight it because there I was in the picture, under the red light in the intersection hookin' a left. At night, no one there but me, in the rain. I'm 99.6 percent sure if a cop WAS there, he would've understood. Machines don't do that.
I would study the video, if you blew it you blew it. But if not, fight it...

First, the laws vary state by state.
In Denver, an attorney fight one cause the tickets were being processed by a private company, not Police. Judge agreed. Denver then made sure the Police processed the tickets. In short, these normally do not show up on your record. When I get them, I've been at fault and so I just pay them. |
