Torn on getting an IPF SC

Hi everyone. I've been reading up on this forum about the different FI options for the LLT. I have a 2011 1LT/RS with just shy of 50K miles on it. Cosmetic mods include a ZL1 front, high wing, and Nitto tires and new 20" rims. Performance wise, its totally stock and its a daily driver and had all routine maintenance done.

So, I want to install new headers (BBK), exhaust (magnaflow), catch can, and ported TB. I am holding on a CAI since a SC kit brings its own right?

Should i upgrade anything else prior to the SC? Brakes or suspension?

Ive heard of some growing pains from some guys with IPF, others who love it. I just want to be sure my car will make a smooth transition to FI so I dont have to fork out too much on post install repairs.

Probably going to same place billionairehero did his in South Carolina. Any thoughts or guidance? Thanks everyone and I hope to add myself to the LLT FI list.

You'll be fine with the car the way it is if you decide to jump in.

Yes, the S/C has its own intake.

As with any FI, you will have some issues, my IPF kit has given me great service thus far with extremely minor issues, none of which kept me from driving. I expected to have some issues as those who are going this route were in uncharted territory.

I've not really heard of too many growing pains with the IPF kit and I've followed all of this pretty closely. For me, what comes to mind is some users needing tweaks to their tune b/c of the car not running normally at idle, and also I remember an LFX owner having some trouble with the power steering on his car after the install. But really I can't think of anything big concerning IPF.

There has been one or two members here that lost their engine after FI due to oil consumption but that was likely not caused by the addition of a supercharger...it was likely a condition already occuring, and then the FI may have accelerated it, but thats unknown for sure.

I say if you are considering an IPF kit thats great. I always like to recommend looking into their additional warranty while you are at it.

SC + LT headers is a great combination.

If you're getting it professionally installed, I'd highly recommend spending a little more and getting their aftermarket warranty for peace of mind

Thats my plan. Im probably going to do the headers/exhaust/etc on my own to save a bit, but leave the SC to the pros.

After the IPF, plan on getting new rear tires more often.

Yeah I kinda figured that haha. I actually just replaced my stock tires with new Nitto Motivo tires. I got 48K miles on those stock ones. Woot.
