I have a Traxxas buggy, haven't had it out for about a year... Broke a shock bad, just haven't taken the few minutes to fix it... Battery powered, and quite fast with the right battery in it....

You will never look back, getting into the hobby. I always recommend Electric because you can work on them anywhere and run on any kind of track. There are so many motors, higher voltages to put through them for speed boosts, cheaper to start into, and support is usually greater.

I have a bunch. Everything I have is brushless. The only way to go is with electric. I had gas before a T maxx 3.3. You need to be a partial mechanic to work on those engines and they always had issues. Electric is faster and easier to work on. I have a Traxxas erevo, mini revo, LCG CARBON 4x4 slash, RC8e, slash on road car conversion. Almost all of them go around 70, the on road goes around 80. These electric cars are instant torque. They are amazing. It will be the same for the automobile, electric will be faster and eventually take over. IMO.

Nice! They are blast. Those slashes are built like a tank, I couldn't tell you how many times that I went flying into something or flipping like 30 times, lol. And just kept going.

I have a few others, but they're just derp vehicles
Here's a few of mine. I also have a couple RC10's. This is pretty much a winter hobby I do with my 5 and 7 year old. I thought it would be something cheap to get into during the months I have my car in storage. I found out this year that whatever hobby you are in can become real expensive real quick. I have close to a thousand dollars Traxxas Slash 2wd already.

I guess mine was a dud, because my buddy has one and his hasnt broke except when he broke a bulkhead from his bad driving. But thats the only part for him. But for me... I got mine and I was actually careful with it unlike him, and I still managed to break EVERY single piece on it except the transmission case. Like not even joking. Everything.

But that 4wd SC10 on the other hand... its pretty dang strong for being all stock... my slash is completely RPM parts. Its one of the better slashes I have even seen anywhere.

I like to start and tune them on Saturday morning in the garage. I love the smell of Nitro-methane in the morning.

way too many r/c vehicles, just broke a steering arm on a brushless buggy I just put together. Nitro is kind of a pain, but you can't beat the run times..my favorites, matching electric 1/10 scale of my 5th(brushed) & C6(brushless), as well as a few 1/16 scale WWII tanks. I also use my E-maxx to plow snow(somewhat).

I didn't do any racing but I did drop a whole bunch of money into this hobby a while back. I'm just a basher, and I almost enjoy building the car more than I take it out. Modded the heck out of my 1/16 e-revo and bult a custom Ken Block version as well. I run these guys on 3S LiPo batteries - they are fast and fun!

Here's my recent build:

And here's my main basher:
