Test drove........

Test drove a convertible C7 yesterday as I have been on the fence between a C7, supercharging my 2013 Camaro SS L99 or waiting to see if Chevy comes out with a 6th gen ZL1. Unfortunately, the C7 just doesn't do it for me. Mainly because I am a big guy and it's just too cramped. I have to look slightly down in order to see out of the thing. Great car but not for me.

Now I am down to supercharging or pray for a 6th gen ZL1. Decisions, decisions.

The internal size of the C7 is tiny! It breaks my heart. Always wanted a Vette, and now it is off the table.

If you're in no hurry... wait to see what GM offers. Probably will have to wait until mid-next year though. I'm feel pretty sure there will be a 6th Gen ZL1 available but it may be in 2017 MY.

I'll give it a year or so and hopefully we will know something. If not, I am not opposed to getting the new Camaro SS and supercharging it. Either way I will be keeping my current Camaro which has had some modding done to it.

Yeah, the C7 looks so awesome and I love it but its just too small. Taking it off the table at least makes it easier for me because that's one less thing I have to think about.

OP, you did what you were supposed to do. Test drove a car and made an informed decision about what doesn't work for you, scratch that off your list. That only leaves a couple of more decisions!

FYI, they have $250 off superchargers at Phastek. I think the full SLP kit is a sweet deal. $6,345 with free shipping!!!

Save an extra $250 Off most Superchargers when you
use coupon code "FORCEFED" at checkout!

Thanks. I already have a local authorized GM/SLP tuner that works on my cars and he is just waiting on me to say the word. Just on the fence spending the money for supercharging on my current car or being patient and getting a factory 6th gen supercharged car.

You can bet there will be a 6th gen with the LT4. Whether or not it's called ZL1 is another question.

I'd wait for that to be announced if I was you.

Just curious why you think I should wait? Not a fan of aftermarket superchargers?

I agree with him about waiting. You seem to like what you see in the new C6 (enough to consider buying one).. So, if you wait, what are the possible positives? A factory warrantied, super-charged C6 that's lighter and faster than anything you can create or buy right now. You've nothing to lose by waiting.

Now, if you didn't like the new C6, that would be a different story..... or you could buy a super charger now, install it on your current car.... then sell it me, for cheap money, when you buy the C6 ZL1 .. lol

I prefer the sports car feel of the the corvette a lot more than the camaro. I owned/own both.

I know plenty of people who are to big for the car though. not for everyone .
