Do you let your friends drive your Camaro?

Sharing is caring, right?

I've pretty much started letting anyone I know have at least one whirl around the block in my Camaro. Every single person was like, "...really?" And their eyes go from o.o to O.O

My friend was running to the packie (he grabed his altima keys) and as he was running out the door I yelled to him "Wanna take the Camaro?!" while I was boozin on the couch. He tripped on his face running back into the apartment because he was so excited to grab the Camaro keys.

He was gone for only 15 min and he had three different stories about how people/girls/guys were just loving the car.

So, do you let your friends drive your car?

I have with my good friends, especially if they have a car I want to try out lol. I've never let anyone take it without me in the passenger seat though.

I would only let one, all my other friends drive way to aggressively to even get the keys.

The only one that has driven it besides me is my wife and my brother, who is a GM mechanic and works on the car...
I might allow someone else to drive it, but it would be with me in the car...

I let my friend's 14 year old daughter (more like a niece) drive it.
She had her learners permit for a couple months.

It's just a car.

you'll stop being "kind" when someone wrecks your car.

sure do. i threw my sister the keys the other day. That's what car insurance is for. this isn't some one off vehicle.

car came back without a scratch and it made her day, I don't see a problem with it.

Haha true!

But the v6 doesn't even have enough power to let the tires loose with the pirellis, so I'm not too worried.

If it was a v8 then I'd be a little worried.

I don't share my money, my wife or my vehicles. And I don't expect anyone else to share theirs with me.

The first time I let someone drive it was my cousin. Came back with $400 worth of damage to the front end. Never paid me back, etc. So I'm very cautious now.

Yupp I let all my friends drive it. Disclaimer I only have 2 friends, not even accepting applications for more until we get back down to 1 that's all I can really handle.

With the VTC on 9 and traction off it'll break the Pirellis loose!! Ive known most my friends for over 20 yrs now and yeah, I have and will let them drive the Camaro if they want.
