First car search
In a few months I turn 16 and I have decided to go out and buy a 5th gen. My dad had a 71 camaro for his first car and Ive decided to buy a camaro for my first car. Ive been searching for awhile for a 10-13 for as little as possible as it is my first car and I have a small budget. My budget is around 10k, I want to mod my car or buy it modded. I have been looking all around the US and I have found a few cars in Florida for around my budget, but they will not leave me with much money for modding. Does anyone know of any cars for around my price range or know of any states that they go for less or any online places to find 5th gens around my price range. Any advice would help thanks so much.

$10,000 isn't going to get you a nice Camaro. If i were you i would wait till you have some more money. My Camaro is my first car and im glad i didnt settle for something that i would not have been happy with. PM me if you want to talk more.

You can buy yourself a very very nice 4th gen for that money. I would forget about the 5th gen with that budget.

That's going to be kind of tuff to find. For closer to 12k, you might find an LS or LT, but probably close to if not over 100,000 miles
Good luck I will probably get beat up for this, but you can get a pretty nice 2005 Mustang within your budget, and most likely ar V-8.

I would suggest looking at 4th gens...you could get a really nice shape lower mileage 4th gen for that money. You might also be able to find an 04 GTO for that as well. Best of luck with the search!

OP, take the above advise , get a 4th gen , learn about cars with a lower upfront cost .
This way you won't find yourself scrambling for $ every month , take it easy Don't do what some others do , get a more expensive car = 2 no $ to take the girls out , or in , I think you got the picture ! |

I'd much rather get an 01-02 Camaro SS over a v6 5th gen. You can probably find a GTO in your price range if you look hard enough.

Just drive mommy and/or daddy's car for a couple of years while you learn the rules of the road and how to handle difficult situations. Save your money for a couple more years, do well in school so you can get a decent paying job, then (in two years)concern yourself with your own transportation. All you want now is to look cool and have a better car than your buddies have.
Don't fall for the "life is too short" bullshit. You have plenty of time to make a sensible decision in a couple of years. You'll be glad you did.
