Pinstriping

Could you share some pics of your cars with pin striping done to it? I just got my 13 vert in Crystal Red Tintcoat and I'm trying to get ideas on how to have it done, the dealer through in a free pin striping for the car, just don't know what colors would show up well and what kind of striping from basic to a little more unique. Would love to see some pics of your cars for ideas. Thank you.

Are you sure the dealer will let you get whatever type you want?

If so, our resident photoshop expert on this site is Scandata. He can come up with whatever look you desire.

I don't know. He gave me a receipt that gives me free pin striping. I was assuming I could choose what I want. I guess I'll have to give them a call and find out. I just need something to set it off a little more.

Of course the teal striping wouldn't go well on CRT....probably silver or black would look good.

Beautiful car. Did you have someone install them or DIY? I was looking at the gill pieces online but they have so many different brands and prices, don't know what to choose. Where did you purchase yours if you DIY. Thank you for sharing.

Done by a friend who has the big brother(an SS) to my car. Bought them on EBay....very reasonable. I'll go to my account and tell you who I bought from. BRB

OK......I ordered on EBAY from promotorstripes
Gill stripes cost me $14.50
Hood spears $18.90
Ordered them on a Sunday afternoon(while watching my friend do HER car)...delivered to me on Tuesday. They include very detailed step by step instructions.
It took her less than an hour to apply them

I just had an idea
Since they did not want to throw in a stripe package, but offered to pinstripe instead.
Ask them if you can buy your own stripes online , and ask if they would install them only?
I just don't see a thin pinstripe running down the side looking very cool..

BTW I would opt for black stripes on your color

Thanks for all the pics and ideas. I love the real chevy symbol on the front. I would love to do something like that.

Kens SS, that's a great idea. Never thought of that idea. I seen the full stripes like I wanted online but wouldn't want to take a chance to install them, I know I'd mess it up. I'll have to give them a call and see what they say. Thanks for the great idea!!
