Used ZL1 prices

I've only had my 2014 ZL1 a short time now but I'm considering selling it as I have the itch for a Stingray. It seems like the prices are all over the board... anywhere from 45k to 51k for similar vehicles.

My car has the Recaros, moon roof, manual transmission and less than 3000 miles. Basic mods (MGW shifter, Moroso catch can, Rotofab, ported TB) with zero cosmetic blemishes or damage. Never even used launch control. I own the car outright with clear title in hand.

What would you realistically list it for on a site like autotrader or similar? KBB lists the value around $47,250.

I just paid 53k for a brand new 15, and I think I still paid too much. I would see what they offered on trade in, and go from there. I would start around 48k to sell it, probably way less than that on trade. My local dealer started offering less than book on them ,because of the new one coming out soon. Good luck !

Normally I would just trade it in because the difference in what I can get selling it to a private party and trading it in is usually negated due to the savings on sales tax. Corvettes are a little different deal with dealership allocations and whatnot. My local dealer might sell three or four a year. I'll be looking to buy from one of the big dealerships far from where I live.

market is weak IMO. obviouly it is all about right time right buyer.

what hurts is that last round of 20% off MSRP people were able to pick up new car in the 48-50k range.

in my mind I think you list for 48k or so and go from there. you could start up at 50k but I think people are just going to offer in at lowball 45k kind of stuff. peole are angling for deals right now. there was a 15 with 700 miles that just went for 49k on ebay.

Your in the 44-45k range.....

Maybe 46k+ if you can find the right buyer who loves the BRM. I was in the market for a BRM ZL1 when I was looking but they were priced too high. I grabbed the VR ZL1 I have now and haven't looked back. GLWS

I have seen used 12's & 13's for as low as $37k up to as high as $52k, $43k IMHO is the right priced for your ZL1.

Lowest I've seen is $39k asking price for a 2013 with 27k miles. Went to buy it and it was sold already.... Searched for weeks for another one at a similar price point and couldn't find a single one within my entire state for less than 43-44k which was just a hair more than I could afford. Ended up scoring a brand new, loaded 1LE instead for $35k+tax/fees. Still wish I had the supercharger though but I love the 1LE. With that said I think $43-50k is the used price range that these cars are selling for right now.

depends on who owns it. If its the dealers car expect to pay 47-60k, if its your car expect to get 37- 44k. we seem to allow the dealers to strong arm us, so as long as we allow this, your car will never have much value if you are the one owning it.

this is actaully a good idea. the recars were not availible in 12-13 and some people are paying 5k to put them in.

get someone to give you 2k-3k an swap seat to offset the deprciation.

If I had them I would do this.

Damn it! Beat me to it! O.P. - I want those Recaros, would gladly ship my stock standard seats to you and give you cash for the swap.
