The race car i.e. NASCAR Sprint Cup version may be unveiled by Chevy later today. The road car SS in January. We'll all just have to wait and see...

The original Chev SS was a '61 Impala- Big block V8 only. In no time at all you could get an Impala SS in a 6 cyl as it became a trim level, not a performance option. Confusion right from the start.

Hi guys, this is only my second post, but as an older muscle car guy I agree. My SS deserves the badge, it was just another ploy to badge SS to win over all types of comsumers. Cheers all

I'm just wondering why people are racking down on people discussing the SS name and repeating that it's from 2006. Yes, we know. So? Do you really need to keep repeating it over and over? Are we only allowed to discuss whatever topics you agree are discussable? If you don't want to be part of this thread, just don't read it. There's loads of stuff I don't care about, but I don't go in those threads and repeat that it doesn't interest me for one or the other reason.
