E&G Classics Rear Window Louver

I posted these in the Journal forum, but thought some may be interested here. This is the E&G Classics louver.

Looks good. It matches your color scheme very well. How is visibility with this?

vis

Visibility is just about unchanged really, you still have the same limits around the edges, you you just have the slats in your line of sight, which are pretty thin and seem to be oriented at the proper angle to minimize visual impact. Sort of like looking thru a window venitian blinds that are open, after you look thru it a few times you don't even notice them.

Nice touch with the chrome trim rings and lugs on the stock rims. I had the chrome trim rings but hadn't thought of the lugs. Good looking car.

Astra Hammond is coming out with real aluminum black powdercoated ones very soon. That's what I'm waiting for.

I was actually going for 1976!

They are ABS, but they are pretty smooth, not real textured. 5th Gen, I saw yours and like it too, but I liked how this one was more "square" on the ends of the louvers and less curved. I thought it fit the angular lines of the car better. The louvers themselves seemed shorter when viewed from the side on mine to, another reason I thought I'd give it a try. they are held on with 8 brackets, the top and side brackets wrap under the window, and the bottom two use 3m and stick to it. Pretty simple, I've had it on for about 3 weeks now and it has held on nicely, no rattles, no noises at all. It does work nicely to keep the sun out of the back of the car. It was 85 here today and between this and my 20% tint on the sides, I never even had to use the AC on full cold.

yours look nice too but im more partial to the "rounded" style lol

mine install with 4 brackets-no drilling and remove in about 10sec for cleaning....

no they do not affect visability
