Thanks to all.
Your never to old to have fun, and at the level most of us are racing at, that's what it's about. Keep plugging away and you'll get better. Just don't get so wrapped up in it that you forget it's fun.

Mike from New Era made an interesting comment. Mike you mean like pulling timing in certain spots?
Yep, thats how I made the Copo I tuned record the fastest time a Copo has ever run because it was blowing off the tires on a cold track (8.49 ET), pull power on the hit and ramp it back in as traction is available, it takes some trial and error. Purpose "Tuned" traction control... I also do this on my 800+ hp truck, still working on it because I have the stock all terrain tires on it. It is very strategic, and can take a good bit of logs to critique it.

Nice, that never really occurred to me even though we use BS3 on 315 DR car and we do stuff like that.

I just started building. But when I get a few more things done I'll meet you at SDR one weekend.

Like most have said you probably aren't heating the tires up enough.

Below is me in the old GTO....3600 stall...stock gears, stock rear, 450 rwhp...

In addition if you are a geared, stalled, A6 with 480/430 and you are only trapping 115mph something else is off.

Yeah could be, but when you spin bad in an A6 sometimes the shift points get all messed up. Could be flying through his shift points.

Just try squeezing the gas, it takes practice. I did go 1.94 on street tires all stock.

Exactly......shift points keep the car in its power band. The car was probably shifting early while spinning. My .02 again.

Yeah, I think the shift points were all messed up. I was pedaling the throttle to try to keep the rear under me, so the computer was trying to figure out what is going on. Not certain, but I might have been bouncing off the rev limiter too. Going to data log this Friday and see if I am. Also, with the heat and humidity the DA was up between 2500 and 3000.

3000 DA I think you'd pick up 2-4 mph in better air.

Who tunes your car btw, just curious.

How do you like the combo, I bet it's pretty sick from a roll.

This tune was done by Mike at Vengeance Racing in Cumming, GA.

I love the combo, and from a roll it was a little scary the first time matted it. My passenger turned pale white with eyes as big as saucers.

I drive to the track. 35 miles one way to Silver Dollar and 105-110 miles one way to Valdosta.

Just put the MT tires on 2 weeks ago, so can't give you any feedback on wear life. Sorry.

So you probably don't want to mount up some slicks on other rims and change them at the track.
