M/T 2011 Challenger R/T Test

http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/...est/index.html

Their figures are finally showing closer to the real world. This year they managed a 5.0 second flat run to 60 and 13.5 seconds at 105.9 MPH in the 1/4.

The magazine figures are finally getting closer to what we real world Challenger owners have been getting for a long while now.

For a 4K lb+ street bruiser that's good.. really good.

According to that article, they got a 13.6 last year; didn't know it was only a tenth's difference from being "real-world" and "magazine run."

The Challenger magazine times have been all over the place. Maybe more consistant on this one, but I've seen times as high as 6.1 and as low as 5.1. I have no idea why. I like the Challenger, just a big honest musclecar.

yea the testing in magazines have been completely inconsistent from one to another. shows you how bad of drivers these testers are with cars that dont have awd and does everything for them.

This is true, I'll toddle along in my little Patriot, it's a good vehicle, but being a stick is the only thing that makes it minutely fun LOL.

I have an older Cherokee with the 4.0 straight 6 in it that's a stick. It's still fun to drive. I've actually been driving it alot more lately and keeping the Stang at home during the week.
