500+ rwhp 2010 IOM Camaro w/18,000 miles...427c.i. - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

It's a 2010 SS M6. IOM that's blacked out around the grill and back panel with a black interior. List of mods below. It's got 22,000 miles and I started modding around 10,000 miles so the parts are all pretty new.

Appearance:
-Blacked out paint underneath a fresh layer of clear on the front and back panels.
-20% tinted windows
-Eggshell black powdercoat on wheels

Performance:
-427 long block built by Texas Speed. Over $8K spent on the long block alone

-Forged pistons and crank

-CNC ported heads with hollow stem 2.165 and 1.6 valves
-Harland Sharpe rockers
-238/248 .605/.615 114 cam. This thing sounds nasty!
-Ported oil pump and other machining necessary to handle high hp

-Monster Level 4 clutch
-Barton short shifter
-Fastlane CAI that picks up behind the fog light
-1 7/8" American Racing headers with 3"catless X-pipe
-305 Nitto 555R drag radials
-508rwhp and 484tq. Over 400lb-ft from the beginning of dyno pull until 6,600 rpm! A real stump puller even off idle.

I'm not sure what the compression ratio came out to be at the end. It runs 91 octane without codes but runs best on 93.

The American Racing exhaust kit runs to the axle and meets the stock exhaust. With the original motor I was going for the sleeper look so I left the mufflers on. That went out the window with the new motor. It's very loud even with the stock mufflers.
