Bit skeptical of what is being put in my car.

Alright, so about 3 weeks ago my mom and a lot of her coworkers went to a convention in Texas, I can't remember the name of it but the Camaro was the big thing this year and modding it. So my mom ordered a cold air intake however, it's how the guy described it it just adds onto it and it's not a whole system. It ran her around 400$ with the show discount... Should I be skeptical of this? I will upload pictures tomorrow if I need to, just don't want anything going into my car that shouldn't be there.

Figured it was, especially since it wasn't the whole system. Just an "addon"

Do air intake systems even add 25 HP?

I want to see an independent verification of their HP claims. 14.96hp?

I call BS on this. Their baseline dyno run is pathetically low and their "with our awesome product installed" dyno run is about normal for a stock engine/intake.
