guess they're still doing leak testing..do like the A pillar gone, but frown on that rear bulge on the top(looks like a 4 door). the top down will be the deciding, selling factor..

The antenna can go in the side mirror, and the 3rd brake light can be put in the rear spoiler, Its more to mod on the new car.

Not liking it. But I've never been a big fan of ragtops to begin with.

Launch Corner…From the AUTO INFO Oshawa Paper ( June 22)

First Pre-Production Convertible Rolls Off the Line
Last week, we built the first two pre-production Camaro Convertibles here at the Oshawa Car Plant. The
convertible was escorted through the process by the Chief Vehicle Engineer, design engineers and our
Oshawa Launch team. These builds are a critical stage to gather important production feedback such as
potential ergonomic issues, fit and finish concerns, sequencing, tooling validation, design changes etc.
Overall I was very impressed with the build of these first two PPVs as there were only minor issues
uncovered. From a production stand point the biggest challenge is processing the convertible through Trim
due to the roof interface. On behalf of the entire launch team, I want to thank the work-force for your
support and enthusiasm during our build. Everyone was willing to chip in and learn and understand the
build sequence.
After shut-down the pre production builds will continue and we will also build our first export units which
must meet different vehicle design criteria for shipment to various countries around the world. Stay tuned
for more updates!

Oh you're right! Wow ANOTHER thing that is ugly they added on...I am really starting to think I am going to pass on the convertible. Hopefully (but doubtfully) they are just trying these concepts out, or these are old concepts because the 3rd brake light makes no sense. why put it on the convertible but not on the coupe? Are the worried people driving behind the convertible will be so distracted they need another brake light in their face?

Pretty cool! I know of a lot of people in Az that want the convertable. Looks like this is going to be another big sales boost for Chevy/GM.

Bring it out now so you're not missing the entire summer GM!!!!

The only convertibles I like are the "Hard top" versions such as the G6 and Caddy XLR. I can see cost being a factor as well as the whole "Heritage" thing of Camaro Ragtops, but still, the idea of a folding panel roof on the Camaro makes me feel !

hopefully the 2 problems they uncovered were the ugly brake lights and antennas...

I'm not feeling the vert. I'd rather see a T-Top
