Good to hear everyone walked away with only minor injuries and sorry that you totaled your car. Very happy to hear you're kicking the 'habit' and have been sober since (and before you killed yourself or someone else). Best of luck and our prayers for your continued recovery and sobriety.

You can be charged with DUI for being on drugs. I've represented people charged with being high on cocaine while driving.

I was going to say Good Luck with your recovery, but Luck has nothing to do with it! It takes work & willpower! Stay the Course!

Kid I have known all his life was not as "lucky" as you. When he nodded, he killed the nice lady (Mother, Sister, Wife etc.) he ran into... Head on, he walked away, but not really without any scars.

Good luck with your sobriety. Frame that picture and take it with you when you talk to others about your experience. Heroin is a scurge on this Country.

Might be worth it just for the rims... if they survived.

Same thing happened here about a year or so ago. The guy that did it is now biting his pillow every night.

DUI/DWI is a catch all. Anything, and I mean can get you one. Even if you drink a bunch of redbull (all the caffeine and such)and it somehow effects your driving you can get charged. It's driving over the limit (.08 or whatever) that is only alcohol.

Congrats on your days...just keep taking them one day at a time and remember your gratitude on a daily basis. I'm 3 1/2 years sober now, after almost dying of liver failure from alcoholism. Addiction is a daily battle...my own personal demon running around in my brain...but I start every day with a "thank you" and "help me"...and before you know it, you are another day clean! Enjoy that day!
