In my mom's case she made the mistake of settling for a 2LT over an SS and she now regrets not buying an SS.

Seems like I'm something of an oddity, I got a 1SS with the only option being IOM paint. I don't particularly need things like leather and lots of options like the 2SS so I figured a 1SS would save me some money up front. Plus I like the LTT mind you but the difference in fuel economy difference is pretty minimal so I would assume most people you be going for things like the leather in the 2LT and the options of the RS package. In the end a fully loaded 2LT can cost just as much if not more than my 1SS did at 32.5k. Just seems to be an observation by me, but how is this being economical, what is wrong or rather what is the reasoning for not going with a LS or 1LT?

I have had 2- 2011'S. A 1LT and a 1SS...I'm not a big fan of leather interiors. The LT was a great DD. Great mileage and more thab adwqaute performance. Trouble is....I've been drag racing since 1961....yup....I'll be 65 next month. Soooo...occasionally some friends and I hit the local track......my competitive nature made me get the SS......besides after I drove it I was hooked. They are different animals. In a lot of ways the LT is a better DD,,,better mileage, cheaper, etc. Trouble is the SS is more "modable" and us old guys grew o\up with V8's. Both are great cars and should be enjoyed.

I got my first pony car/first car over 100 hp in the Camaro V6... and my first house nine months later. As far as I'm concerned even getting a ZL1 can't beat that combination.

I first ordered an LS, then lost my job (they retired me early), about 6 months later I decided to reorder, said what the hell you only live once, but instead of the LS I ordered a 1LT. Then I added a few things on my own. I think the V6 Camaros are the best value as long as you don't go crazy with the options. All the great looks of the SS without some of the extra expense of ownership.

It's a second slower 0-60 and a second slower in the quarter mile (not that I'll be racing at the track). It looks great. They didn't make Synergy Green in a V8. And someday soon when gas is north of five bucks a galleon, I'll be tooling around town while SS drivers are sitting in the garage.
