Housing...
So my wife & I are in the market for our first home, hopefully a SFR or a townhome, though we would consider a condo for the right price.
Being in SoCal, we're grappling with the decision whether to buy now or hold off until early 2010 or later to see where the housing market goes. Our primary concern is to not squander equity. We're primarily considering foreclosures, and we're not tripping over ourselves to take advantage of the first time buyer tax credit. On the other hand, mortgage rates are good and not likely to get any better. That said, what do you guys think? Is now a great time to buy? Or is it better to keep renting for a bit longer? |
