Oracle side markers

I recently received my oracle ghost side markers for my car the other day and so decided to install them today..however i ran into trouble when i couldn't reach my hand or see behind the small opening in the wheel well to remove the stock side markers. i looked up on youtube how to install them but all the videos only showed camaro models other than the ZL1. I thought the process would be the same regardless of model but im having trouble. anybody have any experience installing these? help?

You can jack the car up and remove the tires and liners to make it much easier.

No way don't waste 200 bucks for them to install it, you can do it in 15 minutes!

I installed mine. Took about ten minutes for the first one then maybe five for the second one. Same amount of time for the back ones. There's a gap for the screw driver to slide into, at first I didn't push it in far enough, but then it just popped out. Really easy, no need to remove the tires or anything, not one screw, just follow the instructions. I watched a u tube video first then went out and gave it a try.

AAC side markers

c4maroboy,
It's so easy, watch the DIY video again. It took me about ten minutes each side, use a really long skinny screw driver to push on the clip and they pop right out after you get the few screws and one 7mm bolt removed. You will really love them after there installed! I bought mine CRT ghosted from AAC and they look amazing!! (Light off/light on)

Only takes 5 min per marker light. Super easy. No need to lift, take tires off etc. in rear just pull back carpet side lining and youll have access

For the back two I jacked up the rear and went straight from underneath. Didnt have to remove any covers just did it blind by reaching up and feeling the clip and popping it out. Took less than 5 min a side. For the front the clips were giving me trouble so i removed the wheels and pulled the plastic back further

I know you may have wider tires than me, but just turn the wheel all the way in, take off one side of the wheel well and splash guards if applicable, and you can get in there. If its not coming then you are probably forgetting a screw. I think theres one holding the lens in place? And then theres one perpendicular to the light holding the fascia in place, and another from underneath. Just feel around and take out any screws until the fascia moves freely.

Might want to find the DIY heritage grille install video to show you where all the bolts are, since it involves removing the fascia entirely.

EDIT I may be making too big of a deal about it, per the video above hahaha. Maybe there arent any screws holding it in.

Sorry the video above was not for your ZL1, you only have to add the 7mm bolt going straight up really, really close to the fender lip in addition to the three screws. Good luck!
