My only comment to that is I think you ca get a more streetable 600 HP package with a SC than NA if the vehicle has to do double duty. I am not a huge SC fan mainly because I have never had one, but is certainly worth consideration.

I understand a supercharged engine will have better street qualities but the owner said he built it for racing.

I take a LIVE AND LET LIVE view. If that's what he likes and want's it's his car ,and he can have it his way . After all these cars are all about having a good time ,they are just toys to amuse us . If we wanted just transportation we could have bought a Prius . This is not at all like wearing a fake gold plated Rolex ,it is still a real Chevy Camaro made over to his taste. Just think how many bleach blonds with store bought tits there are running around ,and those are ok ,and a lot of fun I might add .

Yet the car has plates on it, no roll bar to speak off, and full working lights. OP may think he has himself a race car, but methinks he has a street car that he will talk about racing for years to come! That being said, it is his car and he can do, and say, what he wants about it.

That has been a problem ,but it looks like they are working on it .But you better have very deep pockets. And twin turbos are IMHO a better choice.

It's been a problem for decades and will continue to be a problem. There is only so much a blower-cooler can do on a 100+ degree day with 115+ degree track temps and a car going full throttle for 5 or more 20-minute sessions. It's a problem for supercharged applications and a problem for turbo-charged applications. No one is going to "solve" it in the near future. They might make it better, and surely it has gotten better over the years, but many track junkies will still prefer a naturally aspirated motor over a forced-induction mill any day of the week.

It's important to note the difference between a speed-junkie and a track junkie. A speed-junkie will do whatever mods necessary to his car to make it faster. Lap times are his ultimately goal and he's willing to deal with hiccups like heat soak or running qualifiers (tires that have a useful life of somewhere south of 3 laps). This guy will take forced induction.

The track junkie is just looking for a reliable, communicative, highly-enjoyable track car. He doesn't want to go slow or get raped by some guy in a stock Camry on all-seasons, but he doesn't necessarily care that the GT3 RS driven by the guy in the Nomex suit passes him every now and again. This guy will take a naturally aspirated motor.

I say his car looks really hot! But fake badges are just stupid IMO. This body kit is great and its alright to upgrade your 1LE with it. GM sells it and why not buy this instead of another random body kit. You better off with the Z28 aero that works than anything else...

I agree and think about all the 1969 Camaro's running around with Z/28 badges on them.

Indeed TT is the way to go for road course.

In our tribe, HP WINS races, and thanks to me and my past setups, we are all now firm believers in water to air intercoolers, with a tank in da trunk (for weight and balance ), jam packed with ice cubes, hence super low IAT's.

Been dere don dat
