Question if people who ordered camaros before 8/31 will have backup sensors? - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I ordered my camaro on 8/24 and it got an 1100 status of preliminary order accepted on 7/27. I didn't get a 2000 status of accepted by GM till 9/28.

I read someone say that vehicles that were ordered before 8/31 will not have backup sensors.

Does this mean my Camaro won't have backup sensors, or did you have to be at a certain order status? Any info would help and I am sure a lot of people would like to know.

color me an idoit...but also do they beep or what do they do? how do they notify you?

They beep that is it. I think it would be helpful but I don't know that it is $300 helpful. This isn't a mini van or a SUV its a sports car.

They are at least body colored, but they do take away the clean look from the rear some.

I had heard that any car produced after 8/31 got the sensors. I didn't think it had anything to do with order date. Perhaps someone from a dealer or GM could confirm though.

I don't know about in the camaro, but in some other cars they also have yellow orange and red lights to show how close you are too. In my Tahoe they are in the back by the rear window. Not so sure of the Camaro though.

i ordered mine 8/28 and was told by the dealer that i just made the cut off and that i will not get the sensors , i got my vin the other day and checked with the dealer and got my build sheet with all the options and the back-up sensors ARE on my car , no big deal!!
