I just got my Auto ZL1 and I am thinking about dropping it off at either ADM or 21st Century for a 650HP Package.

For those who have done it, was it worth it? Did you feel a significant difference? Did it wake up the beast?

I know when I had the L99 SS and did Headers, Exhaust, 3.45 gears, CAI, and tune. It changed a lot and felt like an animal when I hit the gas which I did love but the shifting was no longer as smooth as stock. The shifts felt sometimes hard. I also lost M which I know isn't needed since its tuned on D but I was not able to use the tap shift full time and if I tried, it drove like $hit. I had to use tap shift in D and it would always revert back to D when shifting wasn't in use.

The ZL1, I love it, but feels extremely tamed and sometimes sluggish. I do love how smooth the auto shifts between gears as well as how it shifts when using the tap shift. I don't want to loose that after the tune.

One more time,CALL ANDY! Your car will do everything normal as it does now just like you want it to until, you mash the pedal down and then you better give the car your full attention because it demands it!

Call John at 21st CMC they do super work and I've used them on 3 of my 5th gens great guys or there and alway have time for any questions... Matt a super good tuner and has been doing it for many years.. Have their 800 package on mine..

I have 2 ZL1's one of which was built by Andy. I'd be happy to share what I know. I live in the Flower Mound/Highland Village area.
