Black SS in SoCal, I point my finger at you. (medium story read)

I point my finger at the driver of the black SS driving on S15 around 8:40am between the 78 and 56. I see you coming up and think oh cool another Camaro. You change lanes in an orderly and direct fashion...but a couple of cars get between us. They peel off and you close the 20 car length gap in a heartbeat, and now we cruise for a bit together…ahhhh…what a pair…Then you pull out to come along side, and I am gitty with anticipation to see a fellow brethren. You pull along side, I roll my window down and wave…..but wait you don’t even look, not even a glance, and speed by…What really, you made a point to catch me and not even a look…So, saddened I finish my drive into work and sit down and contemplate the morning. All I say now is,” WAVE” next time you bastage...we shall meet again and I will taught you with another wave and smile.

I have gotten to a point where I only wave through the window. I don't embarass myself by rolling down the window just to get no response. Most SS owners here in Orlando will wave back, I even had a guy flash his brights coming from the other side of the interstate one day which was really cool...unfortunately by the time I flashed he had already passed.

It seems like nearly half if not more of the V6 owners (and this is NOT a bash on V6 owners so please don't take it that way) are fair weather fans or "Fad" jumpers of the Camaro. The Camaro is the new, hot looking car and it is selling well. The price is reasonable...actually it is INCREDIBLE for the amount of car you receive.. but many of these people don't have an interest in the community of Camaro owners and are actually annoyed that someone else has the car they own. As if they want to be the only "cool" kids on the block with the new look car.

In the NorCal 707 area we are not too friendly to one another even if we drive C5s. It's like having a Camaro makes others with Camaros say "COPY CAT!!!". No love in NorCal, only a fizzling state and pot farms everywhere. If this keeps up maybe I'll grow some so I can sell it and mod my Camaro sooner.

LOL I dont take it personal, just thought it was funny. When you go to wave and have the window down and get nothing. Like when you think someone waves to you, but they are waving to the person behind you.

But i may need to post another thread about you thinking I take it personal and nobody likes me as a person...

lol, I guess I am used to it since I also have a Jeep and have had a street bike. Those two groups wave pretty much no matter who was at the wheel/ bars to each other.

eh, what are ya going to do right, I'll wave I am sure to the next Camaro, but maybe this time i wont put the window down.

Can't help with the nobody liking you as a person. We all get along here at C5. How about a virtual wave in return?

Eye contact first, then wave! Problem solved. No eyes, no wave.

It used to kill me when I drove my '56 Chevy too. I'd see another old car on the road and go to wave only to realize they didn't even look at my car.
