Another wreck..Question about it..

With all of these wrecked Avis Camaros and other Camaros why are the crumbling in the rear with a front end impact? Not sure if this silver Avis car was posted here before or not.

Look at the rear...

Really cool photo when the person that took these photos of the silver car to look at the breaks found.........................."The Mole" ( I did not know he escaped off the Canada line)

I agree that insurance companies are going to start to notice and our rates will start to go up..

It's possible that the car spun during impact and hit something else....

Most of the time if it spins and hits something you will see a sign of rash or impact point. Both of these cars just have crumbles.

Personally I think these people are just having too much fun with the rentals. Either that, or the large one piece sheetmetal design they showed us in the cut-aways is transferring the energy to the rear quarters, but I would think we would see damage other places.

They both look like someone out in the rain with a heavy right foot... remember, not everything we hit is another car or a wall.

It's impact ripple from the force of the impact. Just guessing.

Get the police report and read the details of the accident. Pretty sure they will report multiple points of impact. To much speculation and not enough facts!

it's probably supposed to do that to focus most of the impact on the car, and not the driver.

could be completely wrong, but that was my guess.

These are all Avis cars? It may be they are purposely damaging the rear of the cars for more ins. money or to get them totaled out to be able to get them replaced with new ones. May have a deal with a local place to buy back the totaled cars, fix and sell. Its a dirty world of making money the ugly ways!!

They both appear to buckle similarly. While multiple points of impact may explain both, the odds are that the simplest explanation is the best. The cars both appear to have collided with another mass in one place, and they buckled. The good news is that the car is safe for the passengers. The bad news is that body work may be expensive. Just don't crash into anyone else, and you have no reason to worry. Drive safely.

I sure as hell am not a body man but if the quarter panel damage was as a result of energy dissipation I would expect to see something in the rocker panels and a buckled door too. Physics would seem to dictate this is not likely related to the frontal impact.

Well the first pic had a story to it. Wasnt it the one with the driver who fell asleep on the road? THink it hit a guard rail or something like that, cant rmember the details or even if there was a guardrail. DOnt think the silver one was a rentel.
Did you guys see the CGM 1LT from Avis wrecked? Well just a cracked bumper and stuff

I'm not surprise. The camaro is a car that its driver must get used to before pushing it.
