Another Fatal Bird Strike!!

It happened again! Taking a short ride after giving the Camaro a bath and a Dove (white) of all things was just sitting in the road, I figured it would try to fly away much sooner but noooo!! An impact my daughter felt in the back seat and feathers!!! I thought I hit a pillow. When I got a chance to pull over this is what I saw. Arrow is point of impact, it hit so hard it pushed the grill back and released the tabs (circled). Luckily the grill is flexible enough to push back and reinsert the tabs and everything is good again (except for the dove). Thanks Chevy for building a car that can handle a bird strike (or two).

That was me a week ago! I've never in my life hit a bird before. And what do you know, a robin flies right in front of me and smack, there she goes. Luckily, no damage done.

Talking

reminds me when i was hit by a suicidal groundhog, and i am being deadly serious. I was driving down a back road that has poor lighting with only a VERY few amounts of streetlights. I was coming up to a 4 way stop when my lights picked up the furry bastard on the corner. as i passed him i hear a loud THUMP against the side of my car and it jostled it a little. I slam the car into park and get out and there is the groundhog sitting in the road shaking his head walking away while still shaking it. i checked the side of my car, now it was not clean it had some road grime on the bottom edge of the car i was gonna wash it tomorrow. well the impact area there was NO damage but you could see shiny clean paint circle along the front right fender at the impact point. I wish i could have taken a picture of it it was very funny .
