I've noticed that muscle car/domestic fans just don't embrace new layouts, technologies, and the like as quickly as other car groups. I mean that as no disrespect to anyone here, because I am the same way myself. So I'm sure that over time the muscle car guys will grow to accept and trust IRS.

That narrowing just before the IRS/Diff area could be leading to an X-Pipe, that would be awesome, i love the mellower sound that you get with an X-Pipe. If it allrdy comes with one, and the exhaust is at lest 2.5 inches, i dont see anything that i'd need to do to the exhaust other then a set of Flowmaster 40's or some Magnaflows

I can tell right now, changing the spark plugs on this one will probably not be easier than the Gen. IV. Same with the headers!

I can't speak about the headers, but do you really think the plugs will be that bad? Half the engine isn't hiding under the cowl like the 4th gen. It looks pretty open under there.

at least the battery will be in the trunk like the G8 and as for taking the wheel off on a dodge i had to do that to get to the BATTERY in my stratus .
