You guys are making me want to go down the street to Palm Beach International Speedway on Wednesday and see what I can do in the quarter mile.

I have a question, how do you flash an A6 when launching? Does it mean that you rev the engine, put it in drive, then floor it?

In Drive, one foot on the gas and the other on the brake. When you are ready to launch, slap the gas pedal down to the floor and let off the brake at the same time... Experiment with running the RPMs up just a little be before you launch...

Thanks scrming, I can't wait to try this. I know you don't want to spin the tires. Do you prefer T/C on or off. If I do want to spin the tires, can I turn off T/C and use the flash method? I should get pretty good times with my Injen CAI and MRT 2.0 axle back. I just want to get anything under 14.00 secs and over 100mph. Do you think I can get that with my setup given the right conditions and my driving?

Should the gas tank be low, say about 1/8 tank to reduce weight? Should I run Premium Unleaded?

Do you get good gains from a Trifecta Tune? Think it is worth the money? Can I get one for $300.00.

I know, a lot of questions. Probably most already answered in this thread.

Wow a ton of questions.

1) the tune for available for 300 the rest of 2011 at bad news racing's website.
2) There are so many fuel posts but i run 93 because of the knock sensors..ill try to find that thread.
3) When i race i have around 1/8 because thats an easy 90 lbs if you were full.
4) never got a hand of the launch yet. I ran about 10 times now with t/c on/off. Everytime i ran off i spun at the line, and on i don't...never mastered it off because you get more power and people get better times off, just pratice.
5) I HIGHLY doubt that you will see 14.00 with just a cai and a axle, need a little bit more to hit that, look at the list and see what people are running with bolt ons to get a little under 14.00
Good luck!

Can't move up the list but a new PB. Traction early was real bad, (2.25-3) 60' with the street tires.

HDRS showed up and leant me his slicks, problem solved.

Nice job! And congrats on the new PB! I do think it's funny thought that my best from Black Friday was a 13.611!!! (although my .036 RT would have put me through the traps first! LOL)

You guys have one more weekend left, right?

Thanks and yes, one more weekend left. Thinking of another trip?

This hit and miss traction stuff has me Using the slicks for the first time yesterday and wow what a difference. All nannies off, brake stand to 2k, slam the pedal and nary a peep from the tires. No more wasted runs.

Of course having Rich's sons William and Scott taking pity on a older gent and changing the wheels helps.
