buying a new key fob
As the title says I'm buying a new key fob and I its for my 2000 z28 . Basically I think I got water in my old one because it won't work and its pretty old and worn out. Went to my dealer and they said the fob is 85$ with 65$ to program which is crazy but what else should I expect. Well I found some from various websites from 30 to 50 dollars and was about to order one but I thought I would find out if anyone here had any suggestions first .any help would be appreciated.

Check out gmpartdirect.com for OE stuff, but I'd imagine you'll still have to go to the dealer to program it. However, I don't know if someone with HPtuners or the like may be able to do it.

Good to know -- I've never had to do such a thing.

Thanks fbodyrs96 for the eBay suggestion . I got mine for 32$ shipping and handling included and installed is really easy. All I could think after installing it was how big of a rip off the dealer is.
