I think you'l just have to go in backwards.

Some of those shots do not look 30 feet deep. They look like they go forever.

Kentucky sits on top of soft limestone that is riddled with underground rivers and reservoirs. That limestone filtered water is part of what makes Kentucky bourbon what it is rather than just being whiskey. The Bowling Green area sits right on top of the Mammoth Caves, the largest known cave system in the world, which is constantly growing. I would imagine that a lot of the concern about stability has to do with that knowledge and those endless holes you are seeing. They may open up to a cavern hundreds of feet deep.

The ZR1 and 62 will be fine.
Anything is restorable. I really doubt the got twisted and destroyed to the point where they wouldn't. Especially since Chevrolet is overseeing the restoration of # 1 and 1.5 millionth, that we cannot see and are completely buried.

GM/Chevrolet will be restoring all the Corvettes!

http://www.4-traders.com/GENERAL-MOT...ttes-17947941/

General Motors Company : Chevrolet to Oversee Restoration of Damaged Vintage Corvettes

Chevrolet will oversee the restoration of eight vintage Corvettes that were damaged falling into a sinkhole that opened inside the National Corvette Museum, General Motors said Thursday...

BTW Is anyone maybe a little morbid like me and would make a trip to the museum to see a display of them in the restored Skydome BEFORE they're restored/as recovered? You know, instead of a barn find a sinkhole find!
