Need a new clutch for the V6 manual

My OEM clutch disintegrated under 14k miles. I have been researching heavily for a few days now and seem to have no luck finding clutch and flywheel suggestions for V6ers like myself.

Please help myself and other manual V6 drivers out there find a good replacement flywheel and pressure plates for our cars!

Thank you all,
-mm

Chevrolet Warranty
Yeah the 5 year powertrain warranty may not cover it but the 3year/36k will. Someone is telling you wrong my friend. There is another member with a bad pressure plate that was replaced under warranty. The 3year/36k covers everything.

Covered for 3 years/36,000 miles* Chevrolet backs your new vehicle with its no-deductible, Bumper-to-Bumper New Vehicle Limited Warranty. The entire vehicle is warranted for repairs, including parts and labor, to correct problems in materials or workmanship, for three years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first (except normal maintenance). The warranty covers towing to the nearest Chevrolet dealership, and there is no deductible for warranty repairs during the warranty period. The warranty transfers automatically with vehicle ownership during the warranty period.

What does the bumper-to-bumper warranty cover? The Bumper-to-Bumper Limited Warranty covers most GM vehicles registered in the U.S. and Canada from the date the vehicle is first delivered until it reaches 3 years or 36,000 miles (whichever occurs first, see dealer for details) on Chevrolet and GMC vehicles; and 4 years or 50,000 miles (whichever occurs first, see dealer for details) on Buick and Cadillac vehicles. It covers the vehicle from bumper to bumper on any vehicle defect related to materials or workmanship. Original tires are covered but prorated after 12,000 miles during the terms of the Bumper to Bumper Limited Warranty. For further details, look in the Owner's Manual under "What Is Covered" and "What Is Not Covered."

Perhaps you should read the fine print in the warranty book that came with your Camaro...

That was gonna be my point. A clutch is like breaks - wearing disposable part. It could last 400 miles for you not covered under warranty.

It also says:

I should have asked if you or your dealer determined why your clutch failed. No clutch should go after 14k miles unless it was really abused. Were you dragracing??

If it failed because of "of a defect in material or workmanship" then you are covered.

I have seen guys with brake issues get them repaired under warranty and I have seen guys with clutch issues on this site getting them repaired under warranty.

Your telling me that if I bought the car and put 100 miles on it and the clutch blew because it was bad they wouldn't cover it under warranty?

Has your dealer told you they would not cover it. Maybe you should try a different dealer or call Chevrolet. I wouldn't just give up on it.

My 08 Scion Xb has paint peeling on the fender edge at 38k miles. Toyota said they would not cover it but the dealer is going to pay for it to get fixed. Took some effort on my part but I got it taken care of.

Just trying to help.

Agreed either there is something mechanically wrong or it has been abused heavily.

Abuse/Excessive Wear= No Warranty

Mechanical defect= Warranty

I have 5,500 miles on my 1LT/RS. Last night I finally decided to get on it aggressively to see what she would do. I turned t/c off and traction control. I left hard and during the shift from first to second the clutch pedal only came up half way. Of course the smell of the clutch was terrible and I put it in neutral and the clutch pedal slowly returned. It seemed to operate normally afterward but I am a bit concerned about the clutch disc now. I talked to my service department and it is all about if they can duplicate the problem as to whether it is a warranty issue. He said it is normally a pressure issue when the clutch pedal will no return (slave cylinder). I am gonna drive it a bit, maybe see if I can duplicate the problem again. Also was told the clutch disc is not normally a warranty item.
