The SS comes with a 3:45 rear axle ratio. The 1LE has a 3.91 rear gear ratio.

1le has the same Trans as ZL1, with closer gear ratios, and a higher final drive of 3.91 vs. the SS of 3.51
as well as the half shafts, toelinks, and wheel bearings straight from the zl1.

other parts include
-flat bottom "suede" steering wheel, shift knob/shift boot
- 28mm mono tube in the rear, 27mm in the front
-brembo 4-piston braking system with 26" and 24" rotors
-rims/tires/hoodwrap, front splitter, spoiler (duh)
-upgraded fuel pump based off of the Zl1's

i BELEIVE that is a complete list. could be missing
All three versions SS/1LE/ZL1 use a TR-6060.

Given the tire debate was opinionated this is quite different as the two transmissions are not one in the same, period.
May be sorry for this.... No two things are one in the same. Also you are more interested in proving a point then in sharing information.

The transmission used in the 1LE package had the same gearing as the Z06 and is the same version MN6... It does have a different configuration. It has way more in common with the Z06 than with the the OEM SS.

See that is far more accurate than all your facts to prove a point. Wish members wouldn't get so personal... that is what my 'don't bother' was about.... peace.

So what exactly is an "air-liquid" system?

I'm pretty sure saying they weren't the same is all I said until you made your comment. And there's nothing personal about stating what makes them different. It's not the same as a Z06 transmission, isn't closer to it than a SS TR-6060 or anything all that special. It really is just your standard TR-6060 with different gear ratios.

Wow I didn't think I'd create such a shit storm by asking about my 1LE drive train. I was actually wondering about the axles as that seems to be the weak link in the SS drive train. The 1LE DOES have a little beefier axles than the "regular" SS, correct? The reason is to deal with the stickier Goodyear F1 tires.

There are a few threads with pictures of the differences which are basically bigger CV joints.
