Cheaper to buy a registerable camaro and clone w/same suspension, cage, 9", etc.

Third that....GM is charging WAY too much for a rolling chassis.

Does seem kind of high, but I saw a COPO on Ebay yesterday for $150,000 so I guess it might be a good deal.

If I intended to spend $55,000 on a new camaro, it would say ZL1 on the hood and trunk!!!

Add up all the man hours required to build a body in white Camaro on top of all the parts to make this as it sits. A bare bones BIW + what is missing to even complete the shell body before prep and paint would run you 10k just on the purchase. Or the alternative is to pay even more for a VIN car that has to have a ton of hours put in just to get it to this kind of shape. This is not a bad deal for someone who wanted a real racer but didn't have the means or even know how to build it. That is who this caters to.

55k wont build a good roller. Trust me on that. That being said a typical good roller has a lot more chassis work than a Copo..
