Wait, is the automatic SS going to have the L99 and the manual the LS3? Also is AFM possible with a manual?

Oh I like the fact that there is 2 levels for the V8. Maybe I can get the features I want (reg V8, wing, sunroof) and not break the bank by doing the RS SS.

Optional 21" black wheels!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cyber grey metallic!!!! Almost sold....................(if only there was a Z/28 for now). The only thing I hate is that when and IF there is a Z/28 they'll get rid of such a awesome color like Cyber Grey.

And like everyone else, I was hoping they would have been pushing the SS instead of the V6.

I'm confused, does the SS even look any different? Did they even picture it in any of those photos, or have they already dropped that "new" bumper they made?

I think Inferno Orange Metallic looks fairly close to Hugger Orange, and there is no denying that colors always look a little darker or less vibrant on a digital screen than they do to the naked eye or in a real photograph. Those colors were just photoshops of the concept car so I'll take them relatively lightly. As long as there's an orange, I'm set.

What confuses me is the badging... what if I do want to show off I have an SS? And do those HID/halo headlamps come available ONLY with the RS package, or can I get them separately? Since that's all I'd want: I'd get a much larger lip spoiler than what that RS package gives you and I don't like those wheels anyway - I hope they make the vert concept wheels!

Wherever there are some pics of the SS model, they need to turn up soon, I wanna see how it differentiates.

Can we expect this level of moronics from here on out around here? If you have not been following along and have no idea what's going on, then research the site here or ask questions...but effing SEARCH FIRST.

So much stupidity in this short thread, I can't stand it. Please, all you bandwagon jumpers, go buy the 20 year old technology Mustang and have a nice ride. We don't care what you do if you want to be drama queens about badging and the fact that not everything was released today.

No one is saying you are right or wrong, but don't be so quick to slam those at GM over what you may have percieved them to say.
No Scoot did say there was or was not goin to be a Z28 out of the gate. But last week it seemed be the consensus that there was and what Scott had hinted at was that we’d find out today. And it looks like I AM right. No Z28 for now.
And I’m not slamming anybody at GM. I’m slamming all those people who attacked me last week.

The GOOD things about today.

1. The V8 is only 3800 not 3900. sorry dodge.

2. 422 hp and 407lbs of torque.

3. The HUD has been confirmed

4. The magnetic suspension ride control for Competative/Sport

5. Go watch the 'Ignition Video' at Chevy.com/Camaro

MPG

It may be too late for those that posted infront of me, and I doubt anyone after will be reading this far down. Anyhow, the federal government changed the formula for calculating MPG on average they whent down from what i've seen 4mpg from previous years estimated. That being said if the old formula was used the SS would have been rated close to 27 and the V6 30. Anyhow thats my 2 cents about the subject it dosen't mean you won't get better than the estimate if your a good eficient driver. It just means they adjusted the estimates for the real world where it's stomp on the gas and brake hard.
