If you plan on any autocross'g, road course track days, or just driving 'spiritually' on twisty roads, the Recaro's are worth it. I can't stand trying to hold myself in the seat with my upper body and left foot in g-force turns - so that's why I went with the Recaros.

The Recaro’s are a definite for the track or if you have a lot of twisty roads where you live and like to put your car thru the paces. One more thing to think about, how long do you plan on owning the car and how bad do you want them. Comfort is not an issue, they are great. If you plan on keeping the car for quite some time and like them then go for it. It’s all about personal preference.

If you drive for long distances, YES.
If you are a little on the heavy side, no. Why, they are a slimmer fit than most car seats, remember they are there to support you. I can tell when I have put on a couple of pounds, the fit gets a little tighter. I have Recaros in 2 cars and bought a set to put in my 2011. Want one immediate improvement in handling...put a good set of seats in the car that keep you from slididing around! I have driven the cars with the Recaros on Hot Rod Power Tour long haulers, and get out of the car fresh not worn out and aching. |

Recaros are the best even for the 'non' track days
In other words - GET THEM FOR SURE! Resale alone! |

I am 6' 230, wide across the back. I guess I need to find a 1LE to sit in and test drive, that may be no easy task in Idaho. The 1LE that is at the dealer does not have them. One thing I am finding is that they are apparently not as hard and uncomfortable as the dealer in town would lead me to believe, according to what I am reading here.
